We received the following message from Head Nurse Tinne Nuyttens following our visit to UZ Gent.

We are very grateful and happy that at the beginning of the summer vacation, we were able to receive a Tovertafel at the Burn Center of UZ Gent. Within UZ, a stand was developed so that the Tovertafel can be easily moved. We hope to make even more children with burns happy with it this way.

In the pediatrics department of UZ Gent, they work with the Tovertafel daily. When a child with burns receives play guidance within our burn center, the play module is readily used. Additionally, it is wonderful to see how parents and their child enjoy this new experience. We have already received many positive reactions from the children, parents, and various caregivers.

Last Friday (6/09/2024), we were delighted to welcome some board members of Help Brandwonden Kids (HBK) to our Burn Center to showcase this new play module, along with the other gifts we had previously received from HBK. Once again, a big thank you for this wonderful opportunity to support our burn patients as best as we can. A fantastic initiative by Help Brandwonden Kids to donate this play module to us!
