30/3/25: Prevention 1st Quarter Overview
With the Easter holidays in sight, we look back with satisfaction on our prevention efforts over the past few weeks.
Our volunteers gave fire and burn prevention lessons to 555 students in 4 different schools: the European School in Mol, the Municipal School De Zonnebloem in Lummen, Primary School De Klimop in Ham, and the Christian Primary School Den Akker in Lommel.
Many topics were covered: What to do in case of a burn? What types of burns are there? How can you prevent burns? Are there enough smoke detectors installed at home and are they regularly cleaned of dust? How should you use a fire blanket? Have you ever thought about an escape plan at home and what arrangements have you made with your family members in case a fire breaks out at home? ….
In our mobile smoke room, all primary school students and 62 preschoolers from the 3rd kindergarten class also had the chance to experience how difficult it is to efficiently leave a smoke-filled room.
Would you like to see our enthusiastic prevention team at work at your school next school year? Contact us quickly because the number of places is limited.

Remark: burn prevention lessons are only given in the Dutch language.
