On May 9, we were allowed to set up our mobile smoke room in the playground of De Klimboom in Heultje. During the theoretical lessons on “preventing fire and burns,” the 200 students also received information about our nonprofit organization, what our objectives are, the ways we raise funds, and how all the money is used to help children with burn injuries. Afterwards, the students had the chance to experience what it feels like to be in a smoke-filled space and how they can best exit that space with some chance of success.
