On September 27, we were guests at the Kasterlee Fire Department during their open house.

Help Brandwonden Kids vzw (HBK) taught a class on fire and burn prevention to children ages 6 to 12.

After the presentation, the children were able to experience firsthand in the smoke chamber how to find their way out of a “burning room.”
So they learned something new and gained some experience… just in case it’s ever needed.

At the information booth, visitors were informed about how HBK operates.
Several teachers were also present, and they were given the necessary forms in case their school is interested in the prevention materials available from HBK or if they would like to organize a prevention day in collaboration with HBK. (See additional information on the website under “Prevention.”)

Many thanks to the Kasterlee Fire Department for their warm welcome.
