Following the latest edition of its annual LEGO fair, Bricks&More has donated more than €8,000 to local associations and charities. The proceeds went to organisations that helped make the event possible and to social initiatives in and around Geel.
Among others, the Chiro van Ten Aard and Sint-Dimpna, the Youth Red Cross from Olen, school parent committees and Help Brandwonden Kids received financial support for their behind-the-scenes efforts. The G-athletes of the Geelse Kajakvaarders and the Geelse Hartjes were also thanked for their contribution, with the latter donating their proceeds to Kom op tegen Kanker.
In addition, money went to VZW Appie for projects in the Geel hospital and to VBS Geta, the school where Bricks-and-More once started. The children also got involved: they made LEGO jewellery for De Warmste Week, in memory of Lowieke, who died last year from a brain tumour.
With this donation, Bricks&More once again emphasises the power of local engagement and volunteer work.
